The Pennsylvania Video Gaming Association will lobby for the legalisation of an "already-present industry...but not for online gambling.
With the focus on Pennsylvania as the most likely next US state to legalise online gambling as part of a general gambling expansion measure (see previous reports), reporters noted this week the emergence of a new lobbying group in the state - the Pennsylvania Video Gaming Association.

New Jersey regulator releases FY 2016 results, showing that online gambling revenue grew 32 percent year-on-year.
The New Jersey regulator released the 2016 final performance figures for Atlantic City gambling Thursday, showing that online gambling operations assisted the land casinos to post their first revenue increase since 2006.

Pennsylvanian state Senator Jay Costa's attempt to renew an intrastate online gambling legalisation bill (see previous report) is barely a week old and has yet to be formally introduced, but it has come under fire from Republican Senator Robert "Tommy" Tomlinson, who InfoPowa readers may recall recently wrote to fellow politicians urging caution on a similar bill presented unsuccessfully last year.

Government plans centralised management through a server in order to ensure that locals do not gamble online.

The conversation on the legalisation of online gambling in Pennsylvania took a new turn Tuesday when the spokesman for a land gambling operator suggested that any legislation should bar out-of-state online operators from entering into partnerships with state land casinos for the purposes of setting up branded real-money gambling websites.
