DAFABET EYES AFRICAN ONLINE GAMBLING MARKET
17th March, 2017 at 06:19:15
Sports betting operator airs promotional vids and advertising to support new Kenya website and services.
Cagayan-licensed online sports betting operator Dafabet may be experiencing problems in Vietnam, where 64 locals have recently been convicted on $45 million-worth illegal online gambling charges associated with the operator (see previous reports), but that hasn't distracted the company from its plans to enter the African market, initially with an office and website based in Nairobi, Kenya.
The company launched operations in the East African nation on its new Dafabet.co.ke website this week, supported by social media promotions, advertising and promotional videos, and a mobile betting app.
Plans are in hand for expansion across other African countries under the management of regional head Lou Watts, the usually Asian-facing company has advised.
On offer for Kenyan punters is a range of international and local sports markets, giving them another alternative in an increasingly competitive market already populated by Elitebet, Betway
Kenyan politicians are currently debating gambling reform plans (see previous reports).
