The Nevada Gaming Control Commission released its statistics for the month of August 2016 Thursday, reporting that statewide gaming revenue fell 5% year-on-year to $860.7 million, with the Las Vegas Strip turning in a poor performance with revenues down 15% at $451 million.

Table games, and especially baccarat, continued to struggle.

Sports betting fell back as well, with a year-on-year decline of 59% at $1.9 million

From the $861 million casino win in August, Nevada collected nearly $50 million in taxes, the regulator said.
