Three-year deal agreed.
21bet, an online bookmaker helmed by chief executive officer Richard Hogg, has announced that it has secured a three-year partnership deal with the football club Wolverhampton Wanderers, also known as the Wolves.
21bet boasts a player base of over 20,000 UK punters, attracted to the company's offers since it launched in March this year.
Hogg said in a statement Friday that the club's management team have the drive and ambition to create success for Wolves.
"With a new Head Coach coming in, major investment in players and infrastructure, plus some of the most loyal and passionate fans you will find anywhere, we feel Wolves are the perfect partner for 21Bet," he said.
The club is owned by the Chinese Fosun Group, which took ownership at the end of July and has already arranged for coach Walter Zenga to join. The owners have expressed an intention to return the club to the English Premier League as soon as possible and to stay there.
Laurie Dalrymple, Wolves managing director said in a statement:
"We have ambitious plans for the next three seasons, and that includes establishing strategic partnerships with companies that share our drive and ambition. We see 21Bet as a great fit for Wolves and we're very excited about making this partnership work and delivering real benefits for our supporters."
