27 raids on gambling outlets in Kuching alone.
The weekend saw a blitz by Malaysian police in the Kuching region, with spokesman state CID chief SAC Dev Kumar revealing that 27 raids on illegal online and lottery gambling dens were carried out in 17 districts over the 48 hours.
"From the raids, 24 of them were illegal character lottery raids, two cyber gambling raids and one was a raid on cock-fighting," he disclosed.
He said 58 people were arrested and 32 computers and tablets used for the cyber gambling activities were seized in Kuching.
"The operations against gambling in the state will be ongoing. No district will be spared in our efforts to rid the state of gambling activities," Dev Kumar warned.
