But Tivoli.dk will continue to serve the Danish market.

The online casino subsidiary of Danish land gambling group Tivoli AS has announced that it is to shut down its international online casino next month, although the Danish-dedicated operation Tivolicasino.dk remains successful and will continue to serve Danish players.

Commercial director Elisabeth Milton Hemmingsen explained that whilst expanding Tivoli's successful Danish internet casino operations to the international market had seemed a logical step in 2014, the global site had not met business expectations and was therefore being discontinued.

In an email to affiliate marketers, Tivoli advised:

"It is with regret we must inform you that Tivolicasino.com will cease operations during April 2016. The exact date will soon be finalised and communicated to you at the earliest opportunity.

"As we are committed to close down in a controlled and professional way, you can be rest assured that you will be paid all affiliate commissions due on your players referred, for the entire time that Tivolicasino.com remains live.

"For any affiliates that promote the Tivolicasino.dk brand, this remains unaffected by the business change."
