16th March, 2016 at 19:36:31
On freeplays gambling tax.
UK Chancellor of the Exchequer George Osbourne, in delivering his budget report 2016 before the House of Commons Wednesday, identified imbalances in the Remote Gaming Duty versus the General Betting Duty tax systems in terms of freeplays.
The budget report points at the remote gambling sector enjoying a more generous tax treatment on discounted or freeplays than operators who offer free bets on football or horse racing, an imbalance that will be corrected by a Remote Gaming Duty amendment.
