US regulated online gambling state achieves second-best results since launch in November 2013.

Delaware, the US state which was among the first to regulate and licence online gambling back in November 2013, has reported its second best month yet, posting $229,789.82 in online revenues.

Whilst not up to the rising numbers from New Jersey, the results indicate continued - if slow - progress. The best month was April 2014, when revenues of $240,762 were recorded.

On a month-to-month comparison, the February figures outshone January 2016 ($190,829) by 20 percent, but viewed on a year-on-year basis the gain is far more impressive - up 60% on February 2015 ($143,101).

Online table games - particularly blackjack - were again a stellar performer, bringing in revenue of $97,899.32 and completely eclipsing the $26,089 recorded in January 2016 by some 275 percent.

Video lottery delivered the lion's share of the revenue at $103,596.45.

Online poker revenue was also up - by 7.4% at $28,294.05 - over January 2016, but on a year-over-year basis declined 18% from the $34,526 recorded in February 2015. Delaware and WSOP.com in Nevada have a shared player pool.

New player registrations in February 2016 were 378.
