The head of Lithuania's Gaming Control Authority, Virdzhiniyus Dauksys, had harsh words this week for online gambling operators who continue to offer their products to Lithuanians without the requisite licensing, describing the practice rather melodramatically as equivalent to smuggling.

An attempt by Rep. Matt Gaetz to affix a daily fantasy sports amendment to a gambling bill before the House in Florida failed this week when other lawmakers blocked his move, and after a 90 minute argument he withdrew the measure.
