Breon Corcoran named "Business Person of the Year 2015".
CEO Breon Corcoran's remarkable success in turning the Betfair online gambling group around and negotiating its merge with Paddy Power
has been acknowledged by the UK Sunday Times, which has named him "Business Person of the Year 2015".
In an interview with Corcoran, Times writer Peter Evans notes his success in halting the decline in Betfair back in 2011 and then transforming the company into a data-driven enterprise through changes to its core operational structure and corporate values.
This enabled Betfair to differentiate itself in a competitive market, improving the company's profitability and ultimately leading to its forthcoming incorporation into an online gambling giant through a merge with Paddy Power in which he will helm the combined firms.
