PLAYTECH EYEING OPENBET AND INSPIRED ACQUISITION OPPORTUNITIES?
02nd December, 2015 at 15:15:16
Cash-rich after failure to close AvaTrade and Plus500 deals.
According to UBS analyst, Tal Grant, Playtech may be considering acquisition bids on OpenBet and Inspired in line with a focus on strengthening its sports business.
The report in the UK Evening Standard puts a £ 500 million price tag on both companies who are reportedly up for sale.
"While a £500 million price tag is hardly 'bolt-on', we note that, with the Plus500 deal now out of the picture, Playtech has excess cash (around £500 million) on the balance sheet," Grant said.
