Shirt sponsorship contract terminated
Following news of the UK Gambling Commission
and Alderney Gambling Control Commission's suspension of Metro Play trading as 666Bet licensing (see previous report
), sponsorship partner Leyton Orient Football Club has terminated its contract with the company saying:
"Leyton Orient Football Club has terminated their 2014-15 sponsorship deal with 666Bet after the UK Gambling Commission (UKGC) temporarily suspended the online gambling license of their licensee Metro Play Limited."
The Club said it will make an announcement later in the week with regard to shirt branding for the remainder of the Sky Bet League One season.
Other sponsorship contracts with Leicester City and West Bromwich Albion seem to remain in force for now.
