INDIA AUTHORITIES TO CLAMP DOWN ON ONLINE HORSE RACE WAGERING

India's Home Minister KJ George said in Legislative Council this week that authorities would be clamping down on the mushrooming illegal online horserace betting industry.
Stringent action is to be taken against gambling centres that senior member Vimala Gowda said situate themselves close to colleges and residential areas.
Lives of our students and youths are being systematically destroyed with these illegal gambling centres which stream the races live online. Many senior police officers and politicians are hand in glove with these gambling mafia, Gowda alleged.
Gowda went on to ask for a withdrawal of permissions given to off-course betting centres saying they were attracting the young and the poor.
The India Government is currently moving through the court system to ensure a city racecourse is moved out of the city limits, a request already upheld by the High Court where it now sits before the Supreme Court.
STATION CASINOS IN BALDINI'S CASINO SPORTSBOOK DEAL
Mobile wagering app will link to Station Casinos' other operations in Southern Nevada.
Station Casinos will operate its second on-premises sports book outside of the Las Vegas area at Baldini's Sport Casino in Sparks, northern Nevada following a deal announced this week.
Station will fund the refurbishment and renovation of the existing sports book at Baldini's and provide its own sports wagering technology linking the property to Station Casinos' Southern Nevada operations.
Baldini's patrons will be able to register for Station Casinos' mobile sports wagering app along with its parlay cards and sports betting contests, a press release said. Patron's player loyalty cards will also be accepted by the new operation.
