Stole 141 707 from employer to feed gambling habit

A 47-year-old British engineer is likely to receive a jail sentence following acknowledgement of guilt regarding the theft of 151 707 from his employer.

The theft reportedly took place over an eight week period earlier this year from Wrightfield Ltd, a food conveyor manufacturer.

Council for Stephen Endreson told the Ipswich Crown Court that Endreson was subject to addictive personality traits and was receiving counseling while in prison for his gambling issues.

Additionally a Proceeds of Crime hearing is scheduled with may allow for Endreson's assets to be confiscated in an effort to recoup some of the money.

He remains in prison until sentencing on August 12, 2014.
