FRENCH GAMBLING GIANT SEES G.G.R. DECLINE IN H1
14th July, 2014 at 09:19:11
Decline in horse race betting, but sports betting still growing strongly.
The French online and land gambling group Pari Mutuel Urbain has reported its H1-2014 results, with GGR at Euro 1.255 billion - down 2% mainly due to a decline in horse race betting and to a lesser degree online poker.
The group reported turnover down 5% at Euro 5.1 billion, noting that sports betting continues to grow strongly, but that horse race wagering turnover has decreased by 6% to Euro 4.7 billion.
