Let's get the land casino issues sorted out first, says Commission chairman.

The legalisation of online gambling in Massachusetts should be put on hold until the state's land casino licensing process has been completed, the chair of the Massachusetts Gaming Commission, Stephen Crosby, suggested at a meeting of the body Tuesday to discuss the impact of internet gambling on other gambling activities being considered.

DELAWARE GAMBLING COMMITTEE SUBMITS FINDINGS (Update)

Changes to enable land casinos to be more competitive could cost Delaware $20 million a year.

The commission appointed by the Delaware legislature to investigate ways to make the state's land casino industry more competitive in the face of mounting activity in neighbouring Pennsylvania and Maryland met Tuesday and agreed on recommendations to be given to state lawmakers.

ONLINE GAMBLING SUPPORTERS FIRE BACK

The war of words continues in Washington DC.

The Coalition for Consumer and Online Protection, an action body set up to oppose Sheldon Adelson's Coalition to Stop Internet Gambling, fired another broadside Tuesday with an op-ed in the influential political newspaper The Hill written by former FBI agent, politician and chairman of the House Financial Services Committee, Michael Oxley.
