Online casino awarded 150 000 in damages against William Hill

A High Court judgment today confirmed the award of 150 000 in damages to 32Red in respect of its trade mark action against members of the William Hill Group

The damages inquiry ran for six-days before judgment was handed down.

Another hearing will consider the recovery of 32Red's significant legal costs, previously expensed.

32Red had challenged the validity of 32Vegas, a brand purchased previously by William Hill. The case came to court in 2011 with the judgement announced early in 2012 and finding that the 32Vegas Casino name infringed on the brand 32Red Casino which has been operating for 10 years.

More information on 32Red Casino and 32Red's other brands Nedplay, Dash and Golden Lounge is available on the AZOC casino lists or via a search in our online casino directory.

All the 32Red casino brands use Microgaming's proprietary software platform while 32Vegas, although now defunct, used Playtech software as is standard for Will Hill's casino products.
