MONARCH INTERACTIVE DISCUSSES THE WAY FORWARD
24th August, 2012 at 16:16:46
Having obtained a Nevada online poker operating licence, company must now find a software partner
Having successfully applied for a Nevada online poker operator licence (see previous report) Monarch Interactive issued a statement discussing the next steps it will take to realise its online poker ambitions.
Before launching the interactive gaming business, Monarch must enter into contracts with licensed interactive gaming service providers, a process which has not yet been concluded. The company will also have to complete rigorous independent technology testing.
David Farahi, chief operating officer of parent group Monarch Casino and Resort, Inc. observed:
"We are very pleased to have received one of the first two Nevada interactive gaming operator licenses issued. We are evaluating several interactive poker software providers and intend to partner with the provider that can offer the best quality product to our guests.
"We believe that the potential for synergy between our land based and interactive gaming offerings is significant."
Through its subsidiaries, the Monarch group owns and operates the Atlantis Casino Resort Spa, a hotel/casino facility in Reno, Nevada and the Riviera Black Hawk casino in Black Hawk, Colorado.
