MACAU LOWEST GROWTH RATE IN THREE YEARS
01st August, 2012 at 14:30:08
But revenue up against analyst predictions
Despite a marked slow down, Macau delivered a 1.5% rise in gambling revenue during July, its lowest since 2009, despite analysts predictions of a flat or negative growth.
July gambling revenue was reported as 24.58 billion patacas, up from 23.3 billion patacas year-on-year. Performance was affected by a reduction in visitors following a tropical storm and tight economic conditions experienced by Chinese mainland visitors.
