Nevada Gaming Control Board reports that many of the state's major venues saw revenues decline

The Nevada Gaming Control Board reported Thursday that land gambling operations in the state suffered an 11% decline in revenues to $855 million in March compared to the same period a year ago.

Most of the state's top venues saw revenues fall, and even the Las Vegas Strip was down almost 15% year-on-year to $449 million. Downtown Las Vegas saw a 12% decrease and brought in $43 million.

The decline in revenues meant that the state collected 10% less in taxes...down at $71 million.
