Woodbine Entertainment Group (WEG) have signed a partnership with Canadian racetrack Sudbury Downs that will see the expansion of WEG's online wagering platform HorsePlayer Interactive (HPI) through the entire northern Ontario region.

HPI customers in the northern Ontario districts of Sudbury, Algoma, Cochrane, Timiskaming, Nipissing, Manitoulin and Parry Sound will have access to online, telephone and mobile betting options through the expanded service and the ability to watch and legally bet on over 150 harness and thoroughbred tracks online through HorsePlayerInteractive.com.

There are thousands of true horse racing fans in northern Ontario, so we are pleased to be able to offer HPI's online betting, mobile and phone platforms to them, said Greg Martin, WEG's director of wagering operations. We look forward to serving the area's fans.

Andew MacIsaac, director of operations for Sudbury Downs added: All of our loyal customers now have easy access to play the races, from Sudbury Downs to Woodbine and beyond, a play is just a click away.
