DOWNIE APPOINTED RESPONSIBILITY FOR E-GAMING ON ISLE OF MAN

Shuffle of political delegations in Manx Department of Economic Development
Alex Downie OBE, MLC will oversee E-Gaming on the Isle of Man, following the departure of Garth Kimber, who has reportedly entered into the private gambling sector.
Minister John Shimmin MHK of the Island 's Department of Economic Development has assigned new political delegations to various members within the Department.
Downie, who already oversees the "Space" and "Ship and Aircraft Register" portfolio's, will additionally be responsible for the e-gaming portfolio.
"As the Department of Economic Development builds for the future, my political colleagues and I aim to deliver outstanding services in all areas of responsibility and welcome new opportunities in 2012. We recognise that challenges exist at every turn but with the dedication of our management and staff we will endeavour to rise to the challenge," said Minister Shimmin.
