Police fast off the mark in shutting down this operation

Police in Kota Kinabalu, Borneo were quick off the mark in shutting down an online gambling operation after only a week of activity, reports the Borneo Post this week.

Police chief ACP Ahmad Sofi Zakaria said the police confiscated 12 computers and other assets, and detained a male suspect, in the late night raid, following in an alert from an informant.

In a separate investigation, police detectives arrested an unnamed 30-year-old foreign woman on suspicion of being an agent for an illegal 4 digit lottery operation. The arrest was made at a hotel in the city centre, and evidential property seized, said ACP Sofi.
