UTAH POLICE RELEASE MORE DETAILS ON INTERNET GAMBLING BUSTS

67 arrested in West Valley gambling raids.
The police raids on City Cyber Cafe and Digital Connection in West Valley, Utah this week (see previous reports) resulted in 67 people being arrested, police have revealed in a follow-up statement regarding the anti-online gambling drive.
18 of those arrested had outstanding warrants and drug charges, although the majority of those detained in the raids were questioned, had their identities recorded and were released.
A police spokesman revealed that 80 computer stations and 5 servers from both locations were seized.
The raids followed a two year monitoring and investigation project following complaints from businesses in the vicinity of the internet cafes.
