BETFAIR CASINO ROGUED

Botched promotion continues to generate heat for online gambling group
It's been several weeks now since the normally respectable Betfair Casino
ran an apparently ill-considered promo which was pounced upon by players with pounds sterling and Euro benefits staring them in the face (see previous reports). Previously regarded as one of the leading Playtech casinos
, this latest development has prompted many industry observers to question Betfair's ethics.
Making a bad situation worse, instead of taking its lumps, the casino embarked on a series of actions alleged to have included retroactive changes to the T&Cs, closing and auditing player accounts and then arbitrarily confiscating winnings.
Casino management's handling of the situation, and its refusal to further discuss its disqualifications with affected players has provoked a storm of outrage and criticism across the internet as the punters protest at what they see as the unfair removal of legitimate winnings.
Betfair's rather brusque suggestion that players contact the LGA in Malta has not been well received, given that jurisdiction's weak reputation for player sensitivity.
A case in point is a Portuguese national who claimed that he had not only lost Euro 32 000, but that Betfair had somehow managed to extract that amount from his personal bank account without his permission. The player claims to have complained to banking and other regulatory authorities, stating that he is determined to have satisfaction and an explanation as to how such a withdrawal could possibly have been sanctioned by his bank.
Betfair appears to have circled the wagons and gone into silent mode on the issue in a publicity sense, and this week its reputation took a further blow when the respected Casinomeister online casino guide
consigned the online casino to its Rogue Pit.
